How to Replace O-Rings in Your Active 2.0 Pressure Washer

How to Replace O-Rings in Your Active 2.0 Pressure Washer

Welcome to the Active 2.0 Support Blog Series. In today’s guide, we’ll be diving into how to replace O-rings on your Active 2.0 pressure washer and where to find them in various parts of the unit. O-rings are crucial wearable components that need to be inspected and replaced regularly to maintain your pressure washer’s performance.

Understanding O-Rings and Their Importance

O-rings are essential to the proper functioning of your pressure washer, ensuring tight seals between connections and preventing leaks. Because they are considered wearable parts, they are not covered under warranty and can be easily found at most local hardware stores.

To ensure your Active 2.0 continues to perform optimally, it’s important to inspect and replace O-rings frequently.

Where to Find O-Rings in Your Pressure Washer Accessories

Here’s a quick guide on where you can locate the O-rings in each of the accessories that come with your pressure washer:

Hose:

On each end of the M22-14mm hose connections, you’ll find a single O-ring that seals the connection.

Gun:

The outlet side of the gun has a double O-ring to seal the connection with the lance or foam cannon.

Lance:

On the outlet side of the lance, you’ll find a single O-ring that seals the connection with the spray tips.

Nozzles and Foam Cannon:

While there are no O-rings in the nozzles or foam cannon, it’s important to maintain these parts by:

  • Using the cleaning needle to clear debris from the nozzle hole.
  • Rinsing the foam cannon by running clean water through it after each use (remove the bottle and attach the cannon to the lance).

O-Rings in the Pressure Washer Pump

The internal piston seals and chambers of your pressure washer also contain O-rings, but these are sealed inside and do not require attention. However, there are important O-rings on both the inlet and outlet of the pump:

Pump Inlet:

You’ll find an O-ring sealing the brass connection to the pump, along with a garden hose filter on the outside.

Pump Outlet:

Two O-rings seal the connection to the unloader valve inside the outlet.

How to Replace O-Rings

To replace the O-rings in your Active 2.0, you’ll need a small screwdriver or pick to remove the old O-rings and insert the new ones. We recommend using Active’s O-ring kit, which can be ordered by calling 1-844-777-4555.

For O-rings on the pump inlet and outlet, these are supplied as part of the Pump Inlet and Outlet Replacement Kit, which we will cover in a separate guide.

Conclusion

By following this guide, you should be able to replace the O-rings in your Active 2.0 pressure washer with ease, ensuring the longevity and performance of your unit. If you need further assistance or have any questions, feel free to contact us at support@activeproducts.com.
