Step-by-Step Microswitch Replacement

Follow these steps to replace the microswitch in your Active 2.0 pressure washer:

Using a size X Phillips screwdriver, remove the 9 screws holding the pump body of the pressure washer. Be sure to store the screws in a secure place for reinstallation.

Step 2: Remove the Plastic Casing

Carefully remove the plastic casing from the pressure washer and set it aside for later reassembly.

Step 3: Loosen the Switch Box Screws

Locate the 2 screws securing the switch box and loosen them to remove the pump and motor construction from the unit.

Step 4: Open the Switch Box

Using a small flathead screwdriver, open the cover of the main switch box to access the terminals inside.

Step 5: Disconnect the Terminals

Remove the plastic-covered 3 terminals from the ON/OFF switch carefully to avoid damaging them.

Step 6: Release the Microswitch

Locate the U-clip on the side of the pump construction and remove it to release the microswitch from the pump.

Step 7: Disconnect the Wires

Detach the black and white wires with white terminal heads from the microswitch, leaving you with two exposed wires and a blue wire.

Step 8: Install the New Microswitch

Connect the wires to the new microswitch, following the same configuration as demonstrated earlier.

Step 9: Reattach the Microswitch

Insert the new microswitch into the pump and reinstall the U-clip to secure it.

Step 10: Reconnect the Terminals

Reconnect the terminals back into the ON/OFF switch box as demonstrated, ensuring they are properly secured.

Step 11: Secure the Power Switch

Place the power switch back in its position and fasten it with the 2 screws.

Step 12: Reassemble the Pump and Motor

Place the pump and motor body back into its casing, ensuring the microswitch and power cord support are properly aligned.
